Downhome Dave and the Dynamite are a cross between the legends of the Chicago Blues scene and the funky swing of the more modern greats. Think Muddy Waters combined with James Brown and Brian Setzer with a dash of John Mayer thrown in. Downhome Dave and the Dynamite create an atmosphere that engulfs the listener in the type of music that speaks to the soul while inspiring the body to move unconsciously. An unearthly experience of mojo taking the listener to another dimension, creating a state altering experience you can’t be arrested for.

What a great time last Sunday when Living Legend of the Blues Sonny Rhodes showed up at the jam. He was so gracious and classy allowing so many musicians the chance to play with him.

The CD master should be in my hands by the end of this week(May 9, 2008). It was quite a project but it looks like the final finishing stages are here. Just ahve to send it off for replication and then it will be available. I'm hoping to have them completely ready by the first week of June! We'll have to have a CD release party.
